CCRI requires that all students accepted into a degree or certificate program complete the ACCUPLACER writing, reading and math placement tests before registering for classes. Nondegree students who wish to enroll in a course requiring a prerequisite also must complete the ACCUPLACER test. This assessment does not affect admission, but the results help to place students in appropriate courses. Students who have taken ACCUPLACER at another college or university within the last year can have an official copy of the scores sent to the Advising Center at any campus for evaluation.
Testing takes approximately 2.5 hours and can be completed virtually or in the Testing Center.
