The Office of Institutional Advancement and the CCRI Foundation spearhead fundraising for the Community College of Rhode Island. By partnering with the Alumni Association, they implement a donor-focused strategy to boost resources for student success and institutional goals.

Their work adheres to strict ethical standards set by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the Association for of Fundraising Professionals, and the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act, focusing on building integrity-driven relations with the community. Notably, in 2022, the CCRI Foundation and Alumni Association became the first community college organization to win the AGB Nason Award for Board Leadership, recognizing its exceptional commitment to equity.

CCRI Foundation

The CCRI Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit overseen by a Board of Trustees and a dedicated Executive Director. Its primary role is to secure and manage funding from private, corporate, and government partners to empower CCRI students. These contributions directly fund critical needs, including scholarships, emergency relief, and campus infrastructure improvements. For our community of "courageous believers," these philanthropic partnerships are essential to student success.

CCRI Alumni Association

In partnership with the CCRI Foundation, the CCRI Alumni Association drives philanthropic support, hosts engagement events, and manages volunteer programs to benefit the college community. These efforts directly fund student scholarships, book awards, and emergency financial aid.

Membership is open to all graduates of CCRI, as well as former students who completed 30 credit hours and are not currently enrolled full-time. Since the college's founding in 1964, the Alumni Association has grown to represent a powerful network of over 82,000 graduates, leveraging their collective influence to support the next generation of students.
