The Tutoring Center supports students in becoming confident, independent learners. Our services can help you use course materials more effectively, integrate study tools, and explore strategies for note-taking, time management, and effective study habits. Whether you want to strengthen your skills, build confidence, or stay on track, we encourage you to seek support early in the semester.  You do not need to be struggling in a course to benefit from working with a tutor or coach.

CCRI’s Tutoring Program provides a collaborative space to ask questions, review key concepts, and deepen your understanding of course material. Tutoring is offered both on-campus and online, throughout the day and evening.  CCRI’s Tutoring Program is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association.

Academic Coaching offers a personalized partnership focused on helping students develop the skills needed for college success. Coaching sessions may focus on organization, time management, note-taking, test preparation, and other academic strategies tailored to your goals. Students may choose to meet with an academic coach for a single session or engage in ongoing support throughout the semester. Coaching is available online and on campus during both daytime and evening hours.

Reading Coaching provides individualized support for students looking to strengthen their reading skills and confidence. Reading coaches work with students using their course materials to identify strengths and challenges, develop strategies for understanding complex texts, build vocabulary, and manage reading-related time demands. Coaches also help students apply problem-solving strategies they can use independently in future courses.
