Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management - Associate in Science in Business
The Hospitality and Tourism Management concentration within the Business program prepares students for careers in the growing fields of hospitality, tourism, and service management. Students gain practical knowledge in customer service, marketing, human resources, and legal issues specific to the hospitality industry. Emphasis is placed on service excellence, tourism’s economic impact, and the management of hospitality operations. This concentration equips students with the skills needed for immediate employment or transfer to a four-year institution.

Community Planning - Associate in Arts
This two-year program prepares students for careers as planning technicians in state, local, and regional planning offices, as well as consulting firms. Students develop practical skills in zoning administration, building plan review, GIS mapping, and code enforcement while learning to communicate planning regulations effectively to diverse audiences.
The curriculum combines planning theory with hands-on training in technical tools and administrative procedures. Graduates will be equipped to review permit applications, conduct site investigations, create data visualizations, manage multiple projects, and maintain legal records that meet professional standards.
Career opportunities include planning technicians, zoning administrators, permit coordinators, and GIS specialists.

Community Planning - Certificate
The Certificate in Community Planning prepares students for careers as planning technicians in municipal, county, and regional planning agencies, as well as private consulting firms. The program builds expertise in land use planning, zoning administration, site plan review, and code enforcement, with emphasis on communicating technical regulations clearly to property owners, developers, and the public.
The curriculum integrates planning principles with practical training in the procedures and tools that planning technicians use daily. Graduates will be equipped to process development applications, evaluate site plans for regulatory compliance, and maintain documentation that meets legal and professional standards.
Community Planning - Certificate
JAA Transfer Degrees
The following programs are Joint Admissions Agreement (JAA) transfer programs to Rhode Island College (RIC) or the University of Rhode Island (URI). Students completing a JAA program receive an associate degree and enter the receiving institution with 60 credits and Junior status. Students must complete all requirements as given. Depending on GPA, students receive a tuition discount of up to 30% at the receiving institution, a waived application fee, and personalized advising.

The BA in Music Joint Admissions Agreement (JAA) pathway between the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Rhode Island College (RIC) offers students a flexible and affordable route to a bachelors degree in Music. The CCRI program includes foundational coursework in music theory, ear training, music history, applied study, ensemble participation, and general education requirements. The BA in Music at RIC welcomes students with a wide range of musical backgrounds and prepares them for focused study in areas such as theory, composition, and musicology.
